Today has been a huge mess and a half for me. I was faced with one of the biggest problems that I hoped to never have to face while house sitting. Since it’s been so unbearably cold, one of the pipes actually froze.
Somehow, I managed to fix it, but it was one of the biggest scares of my life. I must say though, I never thought I would actually be able to fix something like that :). I feel pretty legit to say the least haha.
Also, as I said yesterday, I had some major problems with my editing system. I had been using Lightroom before, but only on the free trial basis. I decided to purchase the software once my trial ran out. Somehow, I ended up getting just regular photoshop instead. I decided to at least try to use it, and the result? My entire computer system slowed to turtle speed and I couldn’t do anything I actually wanted to in the system. It was too late to fix anything, so I just called it a night and went to bed.
This morning.. after the pipes incident, I decided to see what could be done. They said they would give me a refund and then I could buy the right Lightroom.
I did and to celebrate, here is a recipe for you guys!
This recipe is for tomato basil croutons.
If you have seen my other recipes, you may know I made one for asiago croutons. These were based off of my knowledge of crouton making as a Panera Bread employee. Did you know they make all of their croutons in the store every single day?
Well, I decided to do a similar recipe just with different bread. Instead of the asiago loaf, I decided to experiment with the tomato basil loaf.
Then cubes and toss with olive oil.
Lay the cubes on a sheet pan
Bake at 360F for 20-30 minutes. They should be firm when done.
Ingredients
- 1 Tomato Basil Loaf
- 1/2 cup olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 360F
- Cut the loaf in 1 inch strips then 1 inch cubes
- Toss with olive oil
- Lay on sheet pan and bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until firm
- Allow to cool and enjoy!
These have become snacks in my house haha. I keep watching people eat them because they taste that good. It’s an extremely easy recipe and much better than store-bought!
I am currently working on a new project for you guys as well!
